1. Setting up the app

1. Upon downloading the relevant app, press the ‘Sign on’ button to create account> Choose country code from drop down menu> Input your phone number> Enter password>Re enter passwords>Press the greyed out ‘Send’ and ‘Sign up’ button> Wait a few seconds a text message will come through with a verification code>Enter the verification code and press ‘Sign Up’

1. Welcome!

   Please enter your name > Then e-mail > Then gender> Press next

2. Your safety password:

   Please enter an easy to remember password. It does not matter what the password is, could be as simple as 1234. This password is only needed when you are safe as you will be required to put in your password to let your loved ones know you are safe

3. Please allow the app permission to use your location while using the app. This is necessary for tracking GPS and sending text messages and emails.

Now you are all set with the app!

2. Pairing your Andromeda with your phone

1. Please have your personal self-defence alarm next to your phone and ensure your Bluetooth is turned on, on your phone. Ensure your Andromeda is charged.

2. Press the middle button on the alarm for a few seconds until a green light flashes to indicate it is on. If both red and green light flash together, please repeat step 2 again.

3. Open up the app> Bluetooth alarms> Pair>Connect to relevant alarm> a green light will flash on the connected alarm to confirm it has been connected to the phone.

4. Verify everything is working by clicking the middle button. A green light will flash if successful. If red light flashes you need to attempt pairing again.

3. Adding emergency contacts within the app

Please click top right side icon > Emergency contacts > Contact No1> Fill in the relevant details> Confirm.

Please note you can add one emergency contact on the free subscription. If you require to add more contacts you can do so by subscribing to either Basic Benefits (text message and email to 3 emergency contacts) for £2.99/month or Premium Benefits (text message and phone call to 3 emergency contacts) for £3.99/month.

Note: If you have subscribed for the benefit with the phone call, trial the alarm by double pressing the middle button or pulling the keychain. The email and text will be sent and a phone call with come through to your emergency contacts. Please ensure your emergency contacts save that phone number as ‘Andromeda Emergency’ or something that will indicate that it is not a spam phone call so that for the future your emergency contacts know to answer the phone.

You are now all set up and may start using your Andromeda in emergency situations.
